Love the City

8 years ago I rented a small loft in this city. The Feeling I’m experiencing with my new arrival now is that of a past reality. An emotion linked to the past. By mental alchemy I can bring some of my Vancouver spirit into a modern Mediterranean frequency. Or is that just a dream?

Always have I tightly held on to the opinion that all is possible. It’s only a matter of how. Someone smart once said we must have goals and dreams and act on them, but how they come about stays veiled until the end.

Is it the sky that I Love here? The culture, the people, the possibilities? It doesn’t feel like my beloved North America, but a Feeling starts inside. So where’s the catch? Can we draw a line between the energy a place brings and the energy we bring to a place? All is possible.

This is where I switch from affected to affecting. A person with money approaches reality differently than one who has none. A person who leads the life of his/her dreams breathes differently than one who compromises. What do I Love in this city?

Self-actualization begins with knowing who we are. Traveling the world is one of modern life’s greatest gifts! To fuse cultures. To show an individual he or she is not the group, but a master of his/her own thoughts and actions. They move differently here, gaze differently, smile differently, use less makeup.

Thoughts are subjective but reactions are rooted into our reptile brains. Canada. Clean. Elegant. Fragile. As someone who knew this city like the back of his hand and Loved every polluted leaf of its ancient ficus boulevards, I'm fixing toward a Tel Avivian evolution.

How does it Feel 10 years in the future. An international resident who used a different playground than the one he grew up in. Marty McFly’s words back in 1985 were a high concept scientific fact: “If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!”

Harmony

What do I Love in this city? What is it that I Like? Where do I find her charm?

Previous article dates show I haven’t been blogging for a month. Some weird shi(f)t happened – I was ordered to leave Canada. Despite my achievements in local films and my clear ability to hold up to Vancouver’s needs and expectations, I’ll quote the Coen bros’ cowboy: “Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you.”

Tel Aviv is a marvelous city. Truly is. Kick-ass is her middle name and she’s always on. Always. But starting from scratch in my new old country without previous notice, takes its toll. To begin with: how ‘bout crashing at your folks at 30 without a dime or any solid clue of the next step. Comforting; having a roof above your head. Un-natural; crashing at your folks at 30.

5 days in. Settled. Made sure to not fully unpack before finding my own place. 20 mins drive from Tel Aviv, today I’m visiting the city that never sleeps for the first time in 3 years. Many things have changed in a good way, and since I have no other option, I gotta Love it!

So what is there to Love in this city? The energy I get is heavy yet Free. People are Happy and they make the grade. Yet something Feels compressed; like there's a glass ceiling covering the trees so you can’t reach sky.
Come join me for an integration process into a country where taxes go straight to security and every person thinks he's a king.

New Dawn - It's Not Upto Us

Life in Vancouver BC is beautiful. It's been nearly 3 years now. I've been working my way up in the film industry, experiencing a new culture that fascinates and captivates my core being as a person and a young professional.

Recently, deep new changes have taken place in my life and I began to write this blog - dedicated to Love, Dating and Healthy Living.

One day I received a letter. It was from immigration. Black and white. I was given 8 days to leave Canada. My applications were missing two fundamental components governments are keen on - Money and vast experience.

Right or wrong, when we screw up at least we have someone to blame - ourselves. When the wheel is clearly out of our hands, life's tosses and turns are a blessing even if they seem to be a terrible nightmare.

Obviously my articles had to change... or so I thought.

Then a remarkable thing happened - a fusion of past, present and future - instead of focusing solely on Love, Health and Dating, I expanded my theme: Re-integrating into a new reality as a professional starting from scratch!

I hope you enjoy the ideas brought up in Keep The Frame. I will gladly accept any comments or anything you'd like to share.

Hope you all have Lovely time reading.
